WILSON PK S/S’15: (I’M)Purity

WILSON PK is a 23-year old London based fashion design graduate from the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s class of 2014 having previous assistant roles at Alexander Wang and Iris van Herpen.   He is a designer obsessed with the modern silhouette and creating extraordinarily developed modern textiles inspired by biological references and religious beliefs.

He received the ‘Umbria Cashmere District Award’ in 2013 which inspired his first collection for S/S’15 – “(I’M)Purity”. Immediately after his collection was showcased Lady Gaga wore the first look whilst on tour in South Korea referencing Wilson via social media “stunning young recent graduate from Saint Martin’s Fashion School in London”, and leading to international interest from buyers and press alike.

Wilson believes in the communication between fashion and culture. He creates works that argue and embrace his thoughts of society through the use of materials and silhouettes. Wilson’s fascination with design experiments have resulted in an outcome which creates strong, architectural shapes and empowerment to the wearer. (I’M)PURITY is a collection of six unique outfits based on the idea of exploring the link between genetic pattern (DNA) & sexual identities.  S/S’15 is the psychedelic rollercoaster joyride of self-alienation and religious guilt.
