Kicking off LFW with a bang, Stylist Emma Slade Edmondson teamed up with The British Red Cross, together with a team of top industry professionals c in The British Red Cross’ Westminster store on Buckingham Palace Road. The stylist reproduced looks coming straight off the catwalk in live real time, using only items she found there. The team shared a frenzied play by play account of the day and the looks created alongside their LFW counterpart to the delight of designers like Sibling. The outfits created will then be auctioned off on eBay to raise money for TBRC.

The beauty really was that the team just didn’t know what they’d get with each show and imagination and speed had to be employed in order to keep up. The concept is to show people that fashion can be accessible to everyone, and shopping second hand can be glamorous. It’s also a great platform to use fashion for positive change and to highlight how buying second hand can help decrease the amount of clothing heading to landfill each year. Therefore promoting a more sustainable clothing culture, where people value and treasure their clothes instead of subscribing to a throwaway culture. We want to empower people to use creativity to get the more out of clothes.
