Giulio-Iurissevich-6
Please tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m Giulio Iurissevich,  I live in the north east of Italy, near Venice, near the sea and close to the mountains. I love the nature, animals, sport, the little things, I love the female figure and women in general.

What inspired you to begin your artistic career?
I tried for a period to suppress my desire to be an artist , but then I gave up. All this created a conflict in me, too much to bear, so I decided to follow my heart and without a lot of calculations begin to accept me for who I am, it is not an easy road and I’m still on the way.

What do you do when you’re not using your creative brain?
I create problems in my head, jokes aside, listening to music, doing yoga, I run with my dogs, I drink wine with my girlfriend, I try to figure out who I really am, I always try to be creative in the bubble.

Do you have any favourite artists out there?
All true artists are my favourites, but there are some who have changed my life: Danjel Zezelj, his work, his words and his stories have changed my life and gave me courage to try new tools.

Who’s your personal style icon and why?
Jean Paul Gaultier certainly is fantastic, a genius and Vivienne Westwood, if I was a woman I would like to be like her.

Do you have a favourite piece of artwork?
Salvador Dalí Metamorphosis of Narcissus 1937.

Any exciting projects in the pipeline?
I’m working on an amazing project to make glass furniture with my images, the name of the collection is Velerie, the glassmaker masters are Valeri, Italy, they are really amazing, and we are doing awesome things with an eye open to the art nouveau and one other eye to the urban/street art.

How do you see yourself in five years time?
Happy and alive, possibly very rich and very serene inside.
