Let us introduce to you the very first collaboration of VAVA. The Berlin based eyewear brand teamed up with techno legend Juan Atkins and created three sunglasses. Inspired by experimental and funky electronic music from around the world. Juan created an electronic soundscape for Detroit and called this new sound techno. From this point on Juan Atkins was named as the godfather of techno.

Techno is conceptual and its artists are visionaries. VAVA is very fond of METROPLEX Records which was founded in 1985 by Juan Atkins. Many of Atkins “visions” are shared by VAVA. This year METROPLEX Records celebrates its 35th anniversary and therefore a limited edition of only 300 pieces of the CL002 sunglasses, above worn by Juan Atkins himself, was created.
