New One Little Indian signing Tusks today releases new track ‘Torn’, the second song to be taken from her imminent ‘False EP’ – released this Friday 10th June. The brooding track centres around Tusks’ ethereal vocals and sees waves of percussion and ambient sounds weave themselves around her beautiful voice. Clash, who hosted the premiere, described the track as “a beautiful piece of music that finds Underhill’s songwriting nous coming more and more to the fore.”

Discussing the new offering ‘Torn’, Tusks, aka Emily Underhill, says; “The production of Torn was quite experimental – it evolved over a few years from a couple of sampled chords to this progressive, dream like vibe with dark undertones. It’s like a dark love song that reflects on semi subconscious doubts about love and relationships.” Tusks recently returned with False, the title track from her upcoming EP of the same name, and debuted the stunning video directed by Jamie Muir which you can watch HERE.

Tusks’ impending EP is the follow up to the self-produced debut EP ‘Ink’ which racked up over 1.3 million plays on Spotify whilst setting the blog-world alight and catching the attention of Radio One’s Annie Mac.  The last year has seen Tusks hone her undeniable live show supporting the likes of Submotion Orchestra & Dream Koala before playing to a packed stage at The Great Escape this year.

You can catch Tusks live on:

13 June – Louisiana, Bristol – supporting Samaris
