Did you know National Doughnut Day actually does exist? And it’s just not a fragment of our imagination, get a load of this! National Doughnut Day is on the first Friday of June each year. Succeeding the Doughnut Day event created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the men and women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. While we don’t really need an excuse to celebrate the delectable delight, having one (an excuse that is – not doughnuts, we’re having many more of those) doesn’t hurt.

So there you have it. In a few months time, you can be part of this glorious day. Today, we’re going to go nuts with doughnuts: We will be eating them, wearing them, walking in them and swimming in them!
