The track captures the sense of melancholic euphoria which is typical of the Manchester outfit’s sound, with waves of melody and counter-melody intertwining to produce a single with subtle energy and soaring choruses, whilst still maintaining a dark and evocative haze. The four-piece have had a busy summer so far honing their craft on the live circuit with appearances at Tramlines and Dot to Dot Festival over the last few months, as well as extended airplay on BBC 6 Music off the back of their previous single ‘Sienna’. To celebrate the release of ‘I’m Not There’ the band will be playing a host of gigs across the country in the next four weeks, including shows at Night and Day Café, Manchester and The Finsbury, London.
