Kyanna, wote and released her latest single ‘Trust the Process’ during the UK’s third national lockdown. She shot the music video in Tesco, reflecting on life in lockdown and her memories pre-pandemic.

The video features shots of the singer, walking through the supermarket with a GoPro attached to the trolley as she sings and adds items. The simple hip-hop beat coupled with a calming female vocal is perfect for Sunday listening and a welcome addition to any ‘chill’ playlist.

Recorded and produced from home, this girl is stopping at nothing to keep pushing her music. The song has already been picked up and played by BBC introducing in Kent as part of their International Women’s Day special and will be submitted as part of the BBC Introducing’s Live Lounge competition during March this year.

Kyanna told us; “Where else is there to shoot a music video right now? Luckily, I did not get kicked out of Tesco, and we did shoot late at night to avoid customers, but I just needed to make a visual for this track to try and get my thoughts across clearer.”

“The pandemic has and will continue to shape the lives of many young people, steering them off course and making them reflect on what they want. I know I’ve grown a lot during this time, and I can’t help but wonder what would have happened if I was still performing at venues regularly.”

“My hope for this track is that people can relate and catch a serious vibe. trust the process is something I have been telling myself for months now, since the pandemic stole a year out of my 20’s and shifted my perspective on success, music and my future.”

“This tune is for everyone scrolling back through the photos on their phones and reminiscing the worry-free times. For those who can barely wait for normality but continue to trust the process and know it will all work out in the end.”
