Mullins has created a character obsessed with ‘The Waylands’, a group of men who emerged from the caves of South Dakota in the late 1960s. This obsession is apparent throughout his Mayfair apartment: primitive, ethnic, naïve. His personal style mimics his environment, dressing in controlling topstitched pieces and fitting rib knits.
