Having played a show at Oslo earlier this April that was sold out two months in advance, London quartet ISLAND continue their steady and momentous ascent with a new song ‘Come With Me’. It forms the second part of their blistering new double A-side single alongside the recently released Spotless Mind. Come With Me is a testament to their unswerving ability to write what feels right. The liquid pentatonic licks that introduce the song are steely and full of blues while the relatable subject matter and immersive ambience make it something that speaks to everyone. It’s just another reason to keep a close eye on its makers.

ISLAND Reveal Second Track ‘Come With Me’ - The Clothes Maiden

ISLAND have risen through the ranks stealthily since teasing the tracks that would comprise their debut EP Girl late last year, of which lead single Stargazer landed on the Spotify world wide viral charts at no.7 clocking up 1.3 million streams. Now alongside this AA single they’ve announced a huge headline show at Scala (London) on November 2nd. ISLAND may have garnered impressive online traction, but this fervent demand for tickets suggest they’re becoming more than an ephemeral flash in the vast digital pan.

With the press and Radio 1’s backing and fresh from The Great Escape, the band look forward to performances at British Sumer Time, Citadel, and Reaperbahn. The culmination of a year’s work is now starting to pay serious dividends. ISLAND stand way above the herd because they were never consciously trying to stand there in the first place. They’re just doing what they do – writing and playing great songs.
