Natasha Somerville’s monsters are fully-grown. Almost three years in the making, the first collection for Mormo comes in the wake of an exciting collaboration between Bulgari and Central Saint Martins. Having graduated from Central Saint Martin’s in 2013, Mormo has been a constant obsession. After over a year developing the looks with a top leathrworker in London, Mormo bags are just as comfortable at Efes in Dalston as they are in Shoreditch House.

Natasha Somerville - the clothes maiden

Made for people who aren’t afraid to stand out, the monsters’ designs ensures selected leathers, the quality and love that has gone into these precious creatures shines  through almost as much as their bold aesthetic. Aside from the body, the little details are what make these little guys so unique. Hand-cast resin moulds have brought to life the hands, noses and tongues of the monsters. Smooth to the touch and with a glossy feel, these details have been custom designed- they’re not just there to look pretty though. Press the back of the nose or tongue and you’ll find a secret toggle. Custom mechanisms and shapes mean that every detail of every monster effortlessly compliments the whole look and feel of the bag, meaning that no detail is left unattended.
