Out of nowhere we found a new shoe obsession on our Instagram feed, one so good. We had to share it with our readers today. INTENTIONALLY ____________  is a new shoe brand hailing from Southern California. After some quick Googling, some minor digging and an email we found out a bit more about the newcomer on the shoe scene. The brand was created by Ty McBride, who is anything but new to the world of shoes and internet sensationalism, “INTENTIONALLY ____________ ” has just come on the scene, placing its debut collection in a range of influential retailers from Nasty Gal, to American Rag, OAK, ASSEMBLY NYC as well as a slew of small stores and shops.

pillssaleThe brand also has its own tiny webstore that has select pieces from its freshman launch collection. After we had finished drooling over the collection, we began to search out more about the brains behind the brand, then it all started to make sense. McBride, an ex-New Yorker who now lives in LA has long running stints in the formative and early days of both Jeffrey Campell and Solestruck.com. Now, out on his own, he is creating a line of shoes that focuses on the lifestyle of those that create, move, travel and leave high trend behind in favour of elevated personal style.

McBride is quoted as saying, “I love a streamlined combination of very dumpy silhouettes, unpretentious pieces with inspirations from menswear, vintage and using interesting materials to update and twist classics.” Adding, ”I want to change the game.”  While we find his collection refreshing and well rounded, we’ll be honest when we say the show stopper is his HONCHO mule. The perfect square toe and sling back had us at hello. The HONCHO sits amidst a great collection of summer flatforms, some menswear inspired pieces and an array of low slung and chunky heels. Welcome to Shoe Heaven—it’s been left ___________ for you to put your stamp on it.
