Designer Spotlight: Agabag - Read Gold Lego

Never underestimate the power of these little plastic building blocks. We grew up with them. Our children will grow up with them and designers are making good things with it. We’ve just discovered a design label based in Poland creating accessories from Lego. With a twist. Agabag, a growing brand on Etsy, sells handbags made from Lego bricks. The bags are made in two parts: a Lego shell and a soft interior.

The shell is made by drilling tiny holes through the Lego and then stringing them together like beads. To give the bricks a bit more bling, the couple, and design duo, send out small batches of Lego to be plated in a thin coat of real gold. That’s right. We are looking at very sophisticated clutch bags with a real gold lego block. Agabag’s fancier clutches, made with those gold bricks, sell for more than £150.
