Getting undressed has never been so artistic thanks to Craft and Culture – an online boutique filled with a variety of independent designers from across the globe. From accessories, to lingerie and jewellery – they have the cream of the crop, and have added the cherry to the top by creating an equally appetising lookbook named State of Undress.

Featuring a kaleidoscope of designers from the The Stowe, Ovate, and First Base, the book delves into the world of photography to display the story behind Craft & Culture’s favourite brands. Displaying the intimate moments between dressing and undressing, the collections show women at their most inhabited and beautiful moments.

While we may wake up with bed hair and smudged make-up from the night before, of course the State of Undress shoots are a far more glamourous display of the art of getting ready. Whether it’s getting ready for bed in a strappy fetish-inspired underwear set from Australian lingerie brand Hopeless, or for a movie day with friends in Ginkgo trousers from Wyatt Orr, the set of photographs are sure to have it covered (or not so covered, depending on the lingerie set.)

Embracing the timeless colour of black, the choice of monochrome pieces creates a stark elegance enticing you into the world where everything is black and white. With those crisp white shirts and smart black shoes in the mix, it sure isn’t a world we mind being in.
