ctrl+c ‘Level Up’ Collection

This season, ctrl+c advance their playful reflections on nostalgic graphical references with their ‘Level Up’ collection. Inspired by memories of growing up during the formative years of video gaming, the range extends a bold and assertive approach to print and concept-led design.

An era of glitches, screen-freezes and tedious loading times: visual fragments from gaming history are replicated and overlaid to the point of subversion. Palm tree icons from Solitaire amass to form an unnavigable forest, as drifting clouds from the world of Super Mario cumulate to a dense fog. A static crowd cheers on, as the collective failures in pursuit of a Minesweeper high score are presented in feature print ‘bomber’.
