An Englishman’s home is his castle, or so the expression says, and there are definitely some very house-proud Brits up and down the country. It’s our sanctuary, where we retire after a long day at the office and relax. However, it’s hard to do that when you come home to find it suddenly infested by uninvited creatures! This is something which has been well-documented this season, with an unusually damp and humid summer being a perfect breeding ground for a wide-range of insects and other creatures. It’s probably some Brits are welcoming Autumn with open arms.

So with a summer of insect horrors here in the UK, how did the rest of the world do with their own fair share of unusual weather?
