River Island has announced its latest Design Forum collaboration with contemporary British menswear brand Blood Brother, following past influential designers like Lou Dalton, YMC, Tourne de Transmission and Matthew Miller. Set up in 2012, Blood Brother defines itself by a highly distinctive, precision-led aesthetic. Blood Brother fuses contemporary fashion design and construction with the essentialities of comfort and functionality. Founders Nicholas Biela and James Waller utilizes cutting edge design to create contemporary menswear clothes, with their signature nod towards a utilitarian visual language and iconic technical outerwear.

Inspired by the brand’s innovative design philosophy, the 11-piece collection of ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories epitomise Blood Brother’s ability to reinterpret traditional military apparel and garment construction. Cutting-edge print techniques and fabrications, combined with the brands innovative design philosophy and vintage street-wear references were the starting point for this collection. Think urban living via street signage slogans, CCTV glitch prints and a muted colour palette of stone grey, carbon black and indigo blue with occasional accents of high-vis orange.
