Gypsea S/S’15: Paradise Collection

Lately we have been counting down the days until summer and daydreaming over exotic swimsuits, hot bikinis and lots of stylish beachwear. Then we discovered  the brand new Paradise collection from Gypsea. The typical Gypsea woman is a traveller roaming the world, searching for the endless summer.

Born on the edge of the Western Australian desert, where the desert meets the might of the Indian Ocean, Gypsea embodies the immense natural beauty in nature that surrounds and inspires us all. Gypsea is the work of designer Emma Jones and surf photographer Scott Bauer, inspired by their love for design and all things beautiful. The result: unique pieces of wearable art.

‘Paradise’, the new S/S’15 collection is inspired by natural geological formations, archaeological remnants from the prehistoricera, the mystical rainforest of the Amazon, and the vivid colours, textures and reflections of the tropics. Gypsea’s collection celebrates the evolution and magnificence of our natural world. The gorgeous collection features diverse and eclectic prints in bold and vibrant hues, perfect for sandy beaches or to don around the swimming pool if you end up going away.

It comprises a mix of both classic and contemporary designs that are flattering and functional. The prints from the Paradise collection have been composed from photographic images of flora, fauna and the physical elements of landforms captured by Scott Bauer, and participants of the Gypsea Artist Program: Misha Ashton-Moore, Darrell Gulin, Kaisa Breeden and Stanley Breeden.
