SUMMARY:T-Lovers Presents Tea Tasting Tour in Shoreditch
DESCRIPTION:On this tour there will be less walking and less history talking (unless you ask!) than on the Tea Walks. Instead you will be visiting four unique places in the area and tasting tea in them. The guide will talk about the teas and explain why these places are unique! On the tour you will taste a Japanese tea\, Indian masala chai and some nice Chinese teas too. You will be able to discuss the difference between Japanese and Chinese teas\, how and when the Japanese started steaming their tea\, how many types of Chinese teas there are\, and much much more! It’s almost like a mini tea masterclass. \n \nAfter the tea session there will be the chance to socialise a bit more for those who would like to stay. The Tour will last approximately 2-3 hours. The Tour costs £25\, all teas and a cake in the various locations are included in the price. Please note that because this is a TASTING tour\, there will be a small portion of tea in each place\, not a whole big cup or a teapot for each person. \nBooking in advance is essential for this event\, as it is strictly limited to 10 people.

SUMMARY:Bompas & Parr Presents Alcoholic Architecture
DESCRIPTION:Bompas & Parr’s Alcoholic Architecture arrives in Borough Market\, featuring a walk-in cloud of breathable cocktail as part of an installation that explodes drinks to the scale of architecture. In this fully immersive alcohol environment- the cloud is entirely composed of fine spirits and mixer at a ratio of 1:3 and made using powerful humidifiers to super-saturate the air- alcohol enters the bloodstream through primarily the lungs but also the eyeballs. \nAlcoholic Architecture sits next to the UK’s earliest gothic cathedral and on the site of an ancient monastery. These themes are channelled through a drinks lists entirely comprised of spirits and beers created by monks: potations such as Chartreuse\, Benedictine\, Trappist beer and even the notorious Buckfast – a fortified wine so savage that Scotland’s parliament is reportedly drafting legislation to stop the caffeinated intoxicant from entering their country. All will be featured in elegantly balanced\, refined and luxurious conventionally served drinks that guests can take back into the cloud. \nVisits to Alcoholic Architecture are based on timed entries and experiences are limited to a maximum of 50 minutes per group. Location: 1 Cathedral St\, SE1 9DE\, London.
