To coincide with the anniversary of D-Day, Bourne & Hollingsworth present a special Blitz Party taking place on Saturday 4th June. Marking over 70 years since the famous Normandy Landings, Londoners are invited to step back in time to the 1940s and enjoy a night of patriotic revelry. The evening will celebrate this courageous event in the way blitz era London knew best, through raucous swing dancing, fortifying cocktail quaffing and big band music. At this summer’s Blitz Party, moustachioed soldiers and plucky WAAFs are invited to flirt over a classic cocktail and dance under searchlights.

Londoners are encouraged to seek shelter in an East London bunker authentically decorated with sandbags, black-out curtains, replica ration books replacing ordinary bar menus and a live music stage. Contemporary wartime entertainment will be emulated by an exceptional swing band, Capitano’s Vegas Rabble, who will be playing the best of 40s jump jive, swing and rhythm and blues drawing red-lipped Land Girls and dashing American soldiers out onto the dance floor for an exuberant evening of lindy-hopping.
