At just 20, Rosie Carney has already experienced more of the tumult of life than most her age. Through her raw poetical talent, her lived experience is channelled into her beautiful music and singing which, at times, recalls the vivid and imaginative folk ambience of Joni Mitchell. After an unfortunate stint on a major label when she was still only at school, Rosie is continuing independently through London boutique Label X Novo and savouring the freedom and license to express herself fully.

“Your Moon” follows on the heels of her recent single “Awake Me”, which clearly resonated with fans worldwide, having already racked up over a million streams. She writes the kind of music that’ll stop you dead in your tracks, and she’s proven a deft hand at creating sublime tonal flourishes to compliment her vivid lyrics and enchanting voice, with this one being no exception.Rosie explains: “Your Moon is a song written about realising different truths within yourself or within a relationship, and finding meaning in that truth. I wanted to capture the feeling of realising that, even though at times the circumstances and timing may seem right in things, doesn’t necessarily mean that it is what’s truly best for you. We spend a lot of time doing things for other people in life, focusing on what’s best for someone else, and trying to please people. But sometimes we have to realise what’s truly best for ourselves and what would be more beneficial in the bigger picture. It’s about being selfish in the best possible way, and not being afraid to put yourself first.”
