Rachel’s collection portrayed her fascination with the creative process within contemporary fashion industry. Following her nomination at the acclaimed Scottish Fashion Awards, Rachel is tipped for big things and is now preparing for her next collections. 23-year-old Glasgow born Rachel McMillan graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2012 and has recently launched her fashion label ‘Rachel McMillan’. Rachel has a background in bespoke designing and manufacturing being formerly employed within a designer menswear store on prestigious Ingram Street in Glasgow’s Merchant City where she assisted the head tailor with ‘made to measure’ garments for a very high profile clientele. At the same time the young designer began working on her first range of printed textiles and the beginning of what would be her debut collection within the industry.
