The fabulously glamorous Feathers – an iconic family-run boutique founded in 1969 by the Bursteins family, held their 40th anniversary party this week in the well-heeled area of Knightsbridge. We were invited to join the sartorial shenanigans and marveled at the copious amount of cocktails being served, ridiculously good hip hop being spun on the decks and plentiful canapés hovering around the on-trend designer garments. The evening was an epic success. The seriously stylish fashion elite mingled merrily amongst each other as they drank, nibbled and even danced themselves into a gloriously debaucherous state of mind.

We adored the eye-catching wares on display – in particular a gold studded leather Moschino bag and a fantastically fetching outfit consisting of a pair of tartan trousers and fur-lined jumper adorned with an adorable (yet very chic) image of a sequined kitty. After gorging on sea bass ceviche and ‘elegantly’ sipping a couple of Cosmopolitans, we decided to take a few photos of our networking/partying antics. We were excited to learn that if we used the hashtag #feathers40years, our beaming faces would appear on a screen and could be joyously printed to take home for our private (slightly vain) viewing pleasure.

After thanking our hospitable (and very well-dressed) hosts, we decided to pry ourselves away from this happy haven of style – but not before a cheeky sneak peak into the goodie bag. We were enamoured with the satin Etro lingerie bag and an absolutely amazing Moschino iPhone 5 ice-cream case – which looked good enough to eat, but thankfully also cute enough to resist.
