Eight Hour Studios products are produced by high quality organic cotton attentive of environmental and with an ethical conscience. Coloured fabrics are used by AZO free dyes and the garments completion with detail and trims are ensured by fair trade supplier, Mehera Shaw, ensuring to develop upcycled textile products. Their fabrics are hand wood block-printed, the choice of design supporting a struggling craft of printers unable to compete with fast paced technological improvements and mass production from factories. In preserving this skill, the designed prints are hand carved out of wood blocks by artisans which are in turn used by highly skilled printers to make hand-pressed repeat prints on lengths of fabrics.
