Your wedding make-up can be so important and many brides tend to stress a lot over it. However, we asked Francesca Young of bridalmakeupkent.com a make-up artist in Kent for the lowdown on how to make the whole process easier and they were happy to oblige.

1. Enhance Your Natural Look

One of the most important things that a bride can do with their make-up for their wedding day is make sure that they stay true to themselves. If you are someone who wears very little or no make-up, you want to keep it nice and simple on your big day. Never let a make-up artist or anyone else tell you that you should wear more make-up that you are comfortable with. By the same token, if you are used to wearing a good amount of make-up, you do not want to go the other way with wearing too little make-up as it will not necessarily look right on you. You want to be able to get a signature look that is all you without looking over or under done.

2. Plan Out Your Make-Up

Have you hired a professional make-up artist to do your look for you? If so, you want to be able to do a trial run of your makeup around six to eight weeks prior to your wedding so that you can have pictures done. This trial run will help you to make sure that you are going to get the look that you want that will also look amazing in all of your pictures. Never try anything new or even out of the box on your wedding day. Here are some more tips

3. Doing Your Make-Up Yourself

If you make the decision to do your makeup on your own, you want to be able to take advantage of the different cosmetics companies that offer bridal makeovers for free. This is a nice way for you to be able to choose your products, colors and even get ideas on what works best for your skin tone. You would even book a session with a professional to have your makeup done to learn what to do on your own for the wedding.

4. Newer Looks

Trying out any new or different looks than what you are used to should be done about two to three months prior to your wedding. This will help you to get a feel for the make-up style and to tweak anything that may not look quite right. Never leave it up to the week before your wedding to try out a new tanning product, bronzer or even brow tinting as it could be too close to your wedding to make a change back.

5. To Match Or Not To Match?

Years ago, it was often common to have the makeup of all of your bridesmaids match, which would end up causing them to lose what would have been their identity or signature look. Give your attendants the ability to coordinate with one another, yet allow them to keep their own style that looks right on them. Make-up should always be chosen carefully, taking skin tone into consideration along with age and more. A make-up run through with your bridesmaids can be a great way to make sure everyone looks great.

6. Be Wary Of Trends

Even if you want to be a modern bride, the last thing you want is to become a victim of the latest trend. This can lead to a wince each time you look at your wedding photos years from now. You never want to look back and wonder what you were thinking.

7. Do Not Panic

Never wait until the last minute and then try to book all sorts of beauty appointments in the last week before your wedding. Tanning, facials, teeth whitening, botox, waxing and more all within a short period can leave you feeling less than fabulous on a day when you are supposed to look and feel your best. Plan ahead and space out your appointments so that you are able to get everything in without having to rush it at the last minute.
