(re)vision society is a creative studio developing projects that radically reinvent the notions of production and consumption. In a world where the provenance of products is increasingly important to people, we craft luxury limited edition items that limit the impact on our environment. This often leads us to utilising materials that already exist in our world or were bound to be destroyed. The concept of (re)visioning goes beyond the beauty and function of the physical objects they create, it’s about a mode of being, a way of constantly questioning, improving, seeking answers and a commitment to trying harder.

(re)vision society is not about seasonal collections or passing trends. They release considered, conceptualised projects that speak beyond their physical manifestations in an aim of redefining our relationship with the things we buy. (re)vision society promote thoughtful perspective on how our individual actions create everlasting impressions on our world and societal conventions.

Their first project utilises some of the 15 per cent of off-cuts from the traditional fashion production process that would otherwise be destined for incinerators or landfill sites. project #1 is a covetable unisex hybrid tote/ruck- sack constructed solely of offcuts from factories producing luxury menswear, with leather trims and handles remodelled from the waste generated by accessory and shoe production. The level of detail they have taken toward sustainability is not only skin deep, even the materials used to give the bag structure internally are off-cuts, pieced together by hand, ensuring their philosophy of mindful creation is present in each design decision we make.

project #2 is an unisex indigo scarf using material sourced from discarded raw-edge selvedge panels from shirting factories. Its versatility means it can be worn in many ways; a concept we explore constantly in our sustainable design process. Both of the first two projects feature hand-stamped and hand-numbered offcut rescue labels, emphasizing their limited nature and hand-finished quality. All materials are sourced from London factories and are crafted locally in London.

Future projects will build upon these foundational practices as they aspire to make social and environmental well-being ubiquitous in their everyday decisions. By encouraging an ongoing dialogue that questions society’s production and consumption practices, the (re)vision society aim’s to take part in redefining the fashion industry standards.
