Belgian native, Laurence Leenaert was faced with a challenge of studying fashion versus religion. The designer believed that religion, tribes are like clans that put a red line through her creative expression. Everything around Laurence (including religion) was so fascinating that she could not help, but to allow all these influences mould the  brand. Nomads and their way of life, recycling, heavily altered the designing process.

About two years ago while working on a project with friends, Leenaert developed the liking for creating handbags and other accessories. Laurence has made conspiring with other artist a key component within her art. Graphic designers incorporate prints which are later printed in a Belgian company. LRNCE prides itself on beautiful blends of textures, patterns and materials. Leenaert wants to create a new world line. LRNCE is sure to mix lifestyle items such as carpets and pottery in the same collection with her accessories.

This coming season “Working 9 to 5 just to stay alive” was coined due to the way of life in Morocco. There is something so beautiful about the way natives work to survive and take care of their families, so full of life. The same mentality goes for emerging artist and really all artist for that matter. The culture of Morocco quit differs from Northwestern European streets. Laurence has stepped out of her comfort zone this season. With a whole new pallet of colours, patterns a fabrics the more tribal face of LRNCE is to be presented. This brand is beautiful it mixes, history meets third world culture and street fashion.
