Iconic shoe brand Chelsea Paris recently collaborated with Canadian fashion designer Jean-Pierre Braganza to create a stunning collection of wearable heels, suitable for any heel lover. The styles made their debut during Braganza’s runway show, held on the first day of London Fashion Week. Inspired by the Bauhaus art movement, the footwear collaboration riffs on the idea of primary hues and geometric colour-blocking. The notion resulted in reworked versions of Chelsea Paris’ classic Blade, Mick and Bea sandals, which were done in all-black and white leathers with subtle colour accents. “I have always been influenced by art and architecture in my designs, and his connection to construction and modernity greatly appealed to me,” said Chelsea Paris founder Theresa Ebagua. “This collection is incredibly thought-provoking and inspiring. Pops of colour and the use of negative space play key roles.”

The vibrant styles were a thoughtful tie-in with the ready-to-wear, matching the flowing dresses done in multi-colour prints. Jean-Pierre Braganza felt the strong, architectural shapes of Ebagua’s shoes would complement the collection. “It was such a pleasure to work with a mind that comprehends architectural proportion in that golden-eye balance,” added Braganza. “Theresa already knew what I was searching for. She responded to my challenges like a kindred spirit.”
