If you think Basic Printer sounds pretty basic, think again. This week we are introducing our fans to an electronic indie-pop project based out of Nashville, Tennessee. This talented dream team are damn keen on synthesisers, drum machines, string arrangements, video games and even grandiose dreamscapes. Anything to create mad wavy music, that’s completely out there.

If you’re a fan of Dan Deacon, Grandaddy or the likes of Kishi Bashi, then you’re in for a pleasant surprise. This musical project is the brainchild of Jesse Gillenwalters and is brought to life with the help of Aaron Walters, Gabe Millman and Peter Ferguson. The music started as pretty abstract and experimental but has taken that in stride to become a very child-like, wacky experience with plenty of seasoned musicality.

Basic Printer’s vocal harmonies, as you can see above, are completely soothing, yet jam-packed with catchy beats that will make you want to not stop partying all night long. If you’re looking to freshen up your playlist this year, then Basic Printer will definitely satisfy your musical needs in every way possible.
