1. Buy a Beauty Spatula

If you buy foundation that’s in a bottle, an amazing way to scrape out the remaining contents is by purchasing a small beauty spatula. These look like little kitchen spatulas and are great for getting every last drop of your foundation out.

2. Add a Small Drop of Contact Solution into your Mascara

If your mascara has turned a little clumpy and is on its way out, make it last by adding a drop of contact solution. This will soften the clumps, meaning you can get more out of it before having to buy a new one.

3. Mix Moisturiser into your Foundation if its Close to Running Out

If you’re mid-week and your foundation starts to run out, use a little less and add a drop of moisturiser to it. If you still have plenty of concealer left, use this to enhance the moisturised foundation.

4. Use Post-Shave Balm if you Run out of Primer

If you love to prime your skin in the morning, but run out of primer, use your boyfriend’s post-shave balm. This contains glycerol, which is a skin-repairing ingredient that controls oil and minimises pores. If you don’t have any post-shave balm in house, another great product to use is aloe gel. It’s hydrating and good for smoothing the surface of the skin.

5. Line your Eyelids with Mascara if you run out of Eyeliner

If your eyes need a morning pick-me-up but you don’t have any eyeliner, try lining your eyes with mascara. Simply dip a small liner brush into your mascara bottle and lightly sweep along your eyelids.

6. Invest in Some Multi-Tasking Products to Save Time in the Mornings

Brown eyeliner is a great multi-taking product. Use it for your brows and also to line your lashes. Illuminating foundations are also perfect because they can double up as a highlighter, saving you time in the morning.

7. Make a Lipstick Last Longer

The trick to making your favourite lipstick last without having to constantly reapply, is to hold a tissue over your mouth and dab translucent powder over the top with a brush.

8. Apply a Sweep of Highlighter to your Face if you Haven’t had Much Sleep

Life is hectic and you haven’t had much sleep, try adding some highlighter to your cheekbones to wake your skin up a little.

9. Heat your Kohl Eyeliner to Make it Liquid

If you run out of liquid eyeliner and you’re in desperate need of some, take an old kohl eyeliner and heat it up under a lighter for a short second. Then, let it cool before lining your lids to create an intense smoky, smudge effect.

10. Make Dry Shampoo your Life Saver

The one must have hair product is dry shampoo. Perfect for those days when you don’t have time to wash and blow dry. Simply spray into your roots and brush the product through your hair for an instant pick-me-up.
